What we do

Import & Distribution

Our business model revolves around sourcing suppliers to meet pharmaceutical needs in the Maltese Islands. This service is divided into two segments. The main one is the private market, where a team of trained sales professionals market, promote, and sell pharmaceuticals throughout Malta and Gozo. This includes 229 pharmacies (including 6 in-house pharmacies), 5 private hospitals, 15 private clinics, and 25 dental clinics. Our second line of business focuses on the National Health Service, where we participate in government contracts. Our goal is to provide excellence in all areas, which means continuous, ongoing high-level training and development within the company.

Export

Our third and fastest-growing segment is exports. Over the years, we have built a very strong network throughout Europe that helps us source products for our customers. Starting with the UK, our strongest supplier, followed by the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Romania, Greece, and others. Through this strong network, we have been able to source, supply, and deliver a wide range of products, from low-cost generics to high-end vaccines. Due to growth, we now have a dedicated team to support all our customers in North Africa, Asia, and other EU countries. In short, if you are looking for a product, we can most likely source it and deliver it to your warehouse by air, land, or sea.

National Healthcare System

Malta’s NHS, through its Central Procurement & Supplies Unit, issues tenders and urgent calls for the acquisition of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment from the private sector. As a company, we are active bidders for these governmental contracts and are therefore continuously on the lookout for new suppliers and manufacturers to collaborate with. Having the right partner is key for us to win contracts.

Our Facilities

Warehousing

NM Pharma now operates from a new centralised distribution centre that houses both our offices and warehouses under one roof. With a spacious floor space of 1,500 square metres and the capacity to accommodate over 500 pallets, this state-of-the-art facility not only adheres to the stringent EU Goods Distribution Practice but also ensures precise temperature control, including a specialized cold room for storing cold chain products.

Relabelling

NM Pharma belongs to a group of companies that holds a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) license provided by the Malta Medicines Authority for the relabelling of pharmaceuticals. This consists of two production lines being able to provide: over labelling, primary labelling, and replacing package inserts. This gives the company flexibility to procure products from any member state.
